The Ben Sabic Foundation is a privately funded not-for-profit organization, established by Ben Sabic in 2020 to fuel philanthropic initiatives throughout Canada.

The Ben Sabic Bursary is for students enrolled in the Sport Management, Sport Business Management, and Recreation and Leisure Services programs at the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (Humber College).

The foundation values supporting students who have a demonstrated financial need over academic excellence and seeks to help develop up-and-coming sport and recreation professionals. Therefore, an applicant’s ability to succeed in an educational environment or lack thereof and their grade point average will not be considered when evaluating applications.

The foundation will prioritize applicants who have been financially affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are three $500 bursaries available. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled in the Sport Management, Sport Business Management, or Recreation and Leisure Services program at Humber College;

  • Have a demonstrated financial need;

  • Currently reside in Canada or plan to return to Canada upon completion of their studies;
